Together All Year

  • We group the children according to age and ability.

  • Since they stay together all school year, they become close friends, and so do their families.

  • This makes for a peaceful, happy year.

Academics

  • Using hands-on materials, we practice math concepts such as counting, sequencing, and base ten.

  • Daily, we practice recognizing and writing the numbers and the letters.

  • We practice speaking & listening skills so the children will be confident communicators.

  • During science lessons, we focus on inquiring, observing, investigating, graphing, and explaining.

Ready for Kindergarten

  • We practice handwriting through a formal writing program and through fun activities that develop small motor control.

  • We teach the children self-help skills such as putting on their snow clothes and opening their Tupperware.

  • Every step of the way, we promote independence and self-confidence.

Spanish

  • Every morning, all preschool and young fives classes have 20 minutes of Spanish class.

  • The children learn songs and basic expressions. They also learn about the culture of Spanish-speaking people.

  • Our Spanish teachers are native Spanish-speakers and adore kids.

Peaceful Atmosphere

  • This may be the first time your child is without you or the first time she must talk in a group setting, and we want her to feel safe.

  • We plan our routines carefully and maintain a calm pace.

  • We love this time in a child’s life, and we want your child to love it, too.

Family Involvement

  • We love when parents bring their skills and knowledge to the classroom.

  • You may show us how to bake, teach us a dance, help us celebrate your family's holiday, or anything else you think will be fun. Just let us know!

  • Preschool & Young 5's families often join the Eagle Creek community for events such as Trunk or Treat and Santa Breakfast.
