Mrs. Deering's daughters, Abby and Maddie who are 7th graders, led a STEAM project with her preschool class. The theme was "We can do anything. Just use your imagination!" To start, Abby and Maddie read aloud The Dot, a story about how we can do anything with a dot. This wonderful story celebrates the creative spirit in everyone. After that, the children used candy Dots and toothpicks to create tents, castles, spaceships, lamps, towers, necklaces, lollipop stores and more.
The children are already asking when Abby and Maddie can come back to do "another super super fun project."
